The Church of St Matthew, Bankfoot, Bradford

The Church of St Matthew, Bankfoot was designed by Mallinson and Healey, a Bradford architectural practice responsible for numerous churches in Yorkshire.  It was consecrated in 1849, and is listed with a Grade ll status.

Calls Architecture have overseen the essential repair works to the east end of the church, identified in the Quinquennial Inspections and completed in 2014. Works included masonry and roofing repairs along with refurbishment of both stained glass and leaded light windows.  The Contractor was William Anelay Ltd of York, with Jonathan and Ruth Cooke of Ilkley as sub-contractors for the stained glass window repairs.
