Ceiling Repairs Completed at All Hallows Church


The aisle ceilings repairs and redecorations at Grade 1 listed All Hallows Church in Almondbury have been completed.  The project used traditional oak riven laths and lime plasters with breathable paint.

Planning and Listed Building Application Success - The Ropewalk


Calls Architecture have achieved planning and listed building consent for proposals to enhance the sustainability of the longest listed building in England, at the Ropewalk, Barton Upon Humber.  The 323 metre long, Grade II listed Ropewalk was developed as an arts centre in 2000.

Proposals for improvements to the oldest part of the building include insulating the roof and incorporating coloured PV panels to blend in with the clay pantiles.

Repair works at St Mary’s, Mirfield


Works are progressing well on site at St Mary the Virgin in Mirfield, where we are repairing the Grade II* listed Church designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott.  The works include re-roofing the south aisle and vestry, alongside repairs to the masonry, tower and doors.

Shortlisted for Georgian Group Architectural Award!


The Old School Room in Haworth has been shortlisted in The 2024 Georgian Group Architectural Awards.  The awards celebrate exemplary conservation and restoration projects in the UK and recognise those who have shown vision and commitment in restoring Georgian Buildings.  Members of our project team headed to the awards presentation at The Honourable Society of The Inner Temple in London.
